Terms of use

These terms cover the looks.nyc website, the API at api.looks.nyc and the MCP server at mcp.looks.nyc (together, “the service”). By using the service you agree to them.

The service

looks.nyc provides structured information about menswear boutiques in New York City — what they sell, their style and observed prices. Anyone can get a free API key at looks.nyc/keys or with POST https://api.looks.nyc/v1/keys. Keys are anonymous; keep yours private. Keys and their limits can be limited, changed or revoked at any time, and the number of new keys and the free tier’s total traffic are capped.

The service is free to use and is run at the operator’s own expense. It may be changed, limited, paused or discontinued at any time, and no level of availability, uptime or support is guaranteed.

Acceptable use

• Stay within your key’s rate limits and quota, and keep your key private. Use one key per app or agent, and don’t create keys in bulk or rotate keys to get around limits.
• Don’t resell or republish the data in bulk, or use the service to copy or rebuild the index.
• Don’t interfere with the service, probe it for vulnerabilities, or use it for anything unlawful.
• When you show results to people, link to the shop’s own page for the item.

About the information

• Style labels and profiles are automated judgments and can be wrong. Prices, stock and sizes come from shops’ catalogs and change often — always check the shop’s site before relying on them.
• looks.nyc is independent and not affiliated with, or endorsed by, any shop or brand listed. Names, trademarks, product pages and images belong to their owners.
• The service is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind.

For shops

If you run a shop that appears in the index and want details corrected or your listing removed, email hello@looks.nyc and we’ll take care of it promptly.

Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, looks.nyc is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from reliance on the information provided.

Changes and law
